NTT DATA leaders and clients recently met with IT industry analysts to share how our company continues to transform businesses for success, disrupt industries for good, and shape a better society for all.

Executives from several clients participated to share how we’re collaborating to address their most pressing requirements. Our clients talked about how:

  • Hyster-Yale Materials Handling expects to disrupt the manufacturing industry with Automated Guided Vehicles that will rely on the Traffic Management Platform developed by NTT DATA.
  • Magellan Health reimagined its IT service delivery, streamlined operations to fund digital innovation, and fueled growth.
  • Nexstar Digital and E.W. Scripps, together with Launch by NTT DATA, are transforming the entire broadcasting industry.
  • The City of Las Vegas is creating a safer, more connected city with edge analytics, secure private networks, and IoT devices.
  • National Life Group is celebrating 20 years of partnership with NTT DATA.

We also talked about the establishment of NTT DATA, Inc., which combines the global operations of NTT DATA and NTT Ltd. to create one company with comprehensive capabilities and unparalleled global reach. Rajiv Prasad, President & CEO, Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc., told the analysts, “In working with such a global company, we don’t have to worry about where the services or IT came from. The way NTT DATA and NTT Ltd. came together was seamless, and we really appreciated that.”

NTT DATA, Inc.’s global CEO, Kaz Nishihata, said the business combination is a “beautiful mosaic” of end-to-end capabilities delivered by teams who help clients build resilience and move confidently into the future. He explained that people are a differentiator for NTT DATA, and we were thrilled to announce at this event that NTT DATA was named a Global Top Employer for 2024 having earned Top Employer certifications in multiple regions and 29 countries.

Joining from Davos, where he was representing our company at the World Economic Forum, NTT DATA Inc.’s CEO-designate Abhijit Dubey discussed our end-to-end capabilities. He said, “I believe we have the best combination and mix of global capabilities at scale, combined with local intimacy and proximity. As the economy emerges from this era of uncertainty, we have built a portfolio that meets client needs for tomorrow, today.”

People and capabilities represent a winning combination. As our client, Prasad, said, “Core capability is important, but NTT DATA has that service mindset along with collaboration and openness, which I think is so important.”

Another client and presenter, Nimesh Mehta, Senior Vice President and CIO for National Life Group, told the audience, “Our 20-year history (with NTT DATA) is unique in the industry, which gives both companies a great deal of insight into innovating together. If you walk into our offices, you will see many dynamic teams with National Life and NTT DATA associates delivering innovative solutions together.”

In our closing survey, 100% of the analysts agreed that NTT DATA is a strong partner for business transformation. 90% of the analysts agreed we have pragmatic innovation capabilities that directly impact business outcomes, and 95% said we have a strong sustainability strategy in place.

Michael Sherwood, CIO, City of Las Vegas, told analysts, “I can bring NTT DATA any challenge – for example, we’re trying to maximize our sustainability planning and they’re looking at this from a world-wide view. That’s one of the benefits of working with a world class partner with the knowledge and expertise. NTT DATA has that world vision and view on things — from technology to sustainability. Why not partner with an organization who has the expertise and knowledge?”

The analysts also learned more about R&D at NTT and NTT DATA, comprising one of the largest R&D budgets in our industry. Our guests saw many developments firsthand at NTT DATA’s Innovation Studio. We offered immersive insights such as virtual INDYCAR experiences, visualizing a hospital of the future, and interacting with a fully realized biomedical digital twin.

We closed the event with a deep dive into our #1 long-term corporate objective: Realizing a sustainable future. David Costa, Chief Sustainability Business Officer for NTT DATA, Inc., said “A new era for NTT DATA is starting as we embed our Sustainability Global Strategy into our processes and engage with all employees to achieve a multiplier effect beyond the company walls.”

As an example of innovation to support biodiversity, David announced NTT DATA’s new partnership with ClimateForce, which is regenerating a razed section of Australia’s Daintree Rainforest. NTT DATA will deploy our Smart Management Platform to help ClimateForce create the world’s first Smart Rainforest.

We’re connecting people with technology to create value for clients and to collaborate with them as we move to a sustainable future. It’s an exciting time for NTT DATA and our clients!

This event at our Executive Briefing Center in Plano, Texas, was part of a series of regional analyst events in 2024. We look forward to sharing even more at our upcoming industry-analyst events in Singapore and Barcelona.
