NTT DATA’s Pandemic Response Portfolio Enables Clients to Pivot to a Safe Return
PLANO, TEXAS – June 2, 2020 – NTT DATA, a recognized leader in global technology services, today announced a comprehensive COVID-19 Pandemic Response Portfolio of services designed to enable a safe return to work, school and life for businesses, employees and citizens.
NTT’s Accelerate Smart platform is a cornerstone of the Pandemic Response Portfolio. It leverages IoT devices, high-definition optical sensors and edge computing to gather data, provide real-time analysis and improve current and future decision making. These smart technologies use data to facilitate several pandemic response use cases, such as occupancy analysis, protection and social distancing compliance, automated temperature and exposure reporting, real-time patient observation, and contact tracking and tracing.
“COVID-19 disrupted businesses worldwide, but leaders who quickly pivot to the long-term transformation necessitated as a result of the pandemic will persevere,” said Bob Pryor, CEO, NTT DATA Services. “In difficult times, we rely on teamwork to put our clients first, and as our communities continue to be tested, we will leverage our inherent capabilities and global partnerships to deliver insights and solutions that empower our clients to safely return to as close to normalcy as possible.”
NTT DATA previously announced a solution to track and trace COVID-19 cases with the City of Austin, which enables the city to securely trace anonymized positive results to assess testing demand and identify high-risk areas for proactive response. For cities, enterprises or schools concerned about a safe return, NTT DATA also partnered with IPSoft and Sharecare to deliver an interactive, automated chatbot screener, which can be embedded or linked to any website, allowing users to anonymously receive an interactive COVID-19 consultation.
In order to support banking clients and small businesses suffering from the COVID-19 fallout, NTT DATA created an Intelligent Data Capture for the Payroll Protection Program (PPP) Processing, which helps ensure banking data is accurate and compliant with complex regulations so customers’ loans are forgiven.
“Our comprehensive COVID-19 solutions will help organizations across virtually any industry, and our highly-specialized services in healthcare, financial services and the public sector funnel our efforts down to the individuals in the communities we serve,” said Eric Clark, Chief Digital Officer, NTT DATA Services. “Our team’s ingenuity and foresight allowed us to quickly pivot our expertise and resources to assist clients with several challenges that will continue to persist following the peak of the pandemic.”
During the midst of the peak, NTT DATA helped the New York City Department of Education deliver nearly 300,000 iPads to students and 800 devices to teachers, while fielding nearly 30,000 support calls to enable distance learning for the largest public education system in the U.S.
NTT DATA’s Nucleus for Unified Clinical Architecture (UCA), one of the world’s largest hybrid cloud based imaging archives, allows healthcare providers globally to contribute studies related to COVID-19 to promote research and development of image diagnostic technologies by using AI to provide high-quality medical image data for researchers. In addition, NTT DATA also created a COVID-19 Care Coordination with Enli program to allow clinical users to effectively record, manage and monitor patients and assess symptomatic and high-risk individuals to determine the effectiveness of self-isolation.
